Ankeny, Iowa -(FirearmsGuide.com)- Being involved with the NASGW Board the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to see great progress within our association. As Kenyon Gleason has said, we are doing big things. And he couldn’t be more right – this year’s Expo is the proof. Our staff is busy putting the final touches on this event, but the stage is set, and you are not going to want to miss anything.

The big changes get underway with the return of our Range Day on Tuesday, October 17 at the Cedar Ridge Range. We’ve got a long list of manufacturers (23 to be exact) who will have their products available to review and test. If you have yet to register to attend Range Day, you should get on the Expo website and sign up. Space is limited so don’t be left out.

Following our Range Day event, the Annual Awards Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday evening with Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North as the featured speaker. We also can’t forget about the annual Leadership Awards and the brand new Caliber Awards. The award finalists were recently announced and we can’t wait to recognize the winners. This should be a fantastic dinner and I hope you are making plans to join us.

Many of you are aware of NASGW’s growing focus on data and its role within our industry. Over the last few months, we’ve had conversations with numerous businesses and we are excited to unveil during the Expo a new project we’ve been working on. Please stay tuned for more details in the weeks to come.

What separates the NASGW Expo from other industry shows, is the business-focused setting where those of us in the industry can all get together to plan and focus on the future. As I’m sure you can all attest, this show is just different and it provides the setting for important business that drives our industry.

So as the NASGW team finishes up the final details and your team prepares for your time down here in Texas, we hope that you are ready for the biggest and best NASGW Expo in history. We hope that you are looking forward to strengthening relationships, seeing new products and planning for the year to come.

I look forward to seeing everyone San Antonio for another great NASGW Expo and Annual Meeting!
