Kansas City, KS – (FirearmsGuide.com) A CZ 712 Target shotgun used by David Miller to establish a new Guinness World Record achievement is now on display at the NRA Museum in Fairfax, Va. Breaking 3,653 clay targets in 60 minutes, Miller used the semi-auto 12-gauge to establish a World Record for the ‘Most Sporting Clays Targets Broken In One Hour.’

CZ-USA and Miller teamed up with Pheasants Forever to help raise over $84,000 for the ‘No Child Left Indoors Initiative,’ a project aimed at providing youth shooting sports and conservation education programs.

When asked if he thinks another shooter will best his mark, Miller responded, “I hope their cause is as good or better than ours. This isn’t an individual record, this isn’t something for me. This is something for our youth shooters and future gun owners of America.”

On the evening of May 16, 2015, a crowd of hundreds cheered Miller on as his team of supporters handed him shotgun after shotgun, enabling him to break more than a clay a second for an hour straight. Miller used 30 CZ 712 and 912 shotguns, their capacity was extended with the help of Nordic Components magazine extensions and followers. 16 MEC clay target throwers lofted 5,265 clays by the end of the hour, and Miller connected with 83% of the clays he fired at.

Rules established by Guinness for the attempt required that each clay be broken individually, that the targets be greater than 10 meters from the shooter and that the gun be supported fully by the shooter.

Two other CZ shotguns from the feat are expected to be on display at firearms museums as well – one at the Cody Firearms Museum in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyo., the other at the NSSA-NSCA Museum and Hall of Fame in San Antonio, Texas
