South Africa - (FirearmsGuide.com) Tristan Hopper 1st in Production Overall at South Africa Nationals! The level 3 match of the South African Practical Pistol Championship was held in Pretoria, Gauteng, between 28th of April and 1st of May 2016. The range experienced inconsistent weather temperatures ranging from 5°-12°C in the morning and late afternoon and 20°-30°C when the sun was out at midday. Both main match days consisted of clear skies, cold mornings and warm midday highs which left many shooters with warm clothing to carry around.

During the match 332 competitors in total shot a minimum of 299 rounds each in Production, Classic, Open and Standard divisions. The stages were very challenging with many speed traps included. A dynamic course design allowed more than one way to shoot the COF, leaving it up to the competitors to decide which way would be the best for them.

CZ sport shooters Tristan and his father Robert Hopper both shot in Production division, where Tristan took 1st place Overall and his father 1st place in the Super Senior category, both with CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow. The general wide range popularity of this gun is underlined by the fact that 15 out of 16 shooters in Production super squad used the same pistol.

CZ thanks to Tristan and Robert for great representation, outstanding sport performance and congratulates to all the winners!
