East Alton, IL -(FirearmsGuide.com)- Team Winchester continued its strong shooting performances during the recent 2022 Shotgun National Championships held at Hillsdale College.

This 10-day event consisted of many of the world’s top ISSF clay target competitors, with all eyes on the coveted National Champion title, as well as earning points toward a spot on the 2022 World Championship team. The World Championship team is determined based on scores from the National Championship as well as the Spring Selection Match held earlier this year in Tucson.

At the conclusion to the Nationals Event, Dania Vizzi placed second in Women’s Skeet, breaking 239 of 250 targets. Vizzi also earned one of three spots to represent the U.S. in the Women’s Skeet World Championship. Teammate and six-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode finished in third place, winning a bronze medal with a score of 236.

Jake Wallace narrowly missed the podium for Men’s Trap but did successfully obtain enough points to qualify for the U.S. Men’s Trap World Championship team thanks to his strong performance at the Spring Selection Match.

Congratulations to all who participated in this shoot and good luck to those on Team USA who will compete at the 2022 Shotgun World Championship in Croatia on September 19-October 12, 2022.
