Los Angeles, CA - (FirearmsGuide.com) – The Olight Baton 3 Pro Rechargeable Flashlight is an upgrade of the famous Olight S2R Baton II flashlight. The Baton 3 Pro is more powerful with 1,500 lumens instead of 1,150 of Baton II, and it also comes with a proximity sensor and new body knurling. The Olight S2R Baton II is also a great flashlight but I am a huge fan of maximum performance in the smallest possible body of the flashlight and that is the reason that I tested and thoroughly enjoyed the Baton 3 Pro flashlight.

I simply do not want any small compact flashlight without 1,500 lumens performance so Baton 3 Pro fits nicely in my “Keeper” category. To check the Baton 3 Pro please go here: https://www.olightstore.com/baton-3-pro-small-rechargeable-flashlight.html

What’s in the box:
Baton 3 Pro Flashlight (Battery Included) x1
MCC3 Charging Cable x 1
L-shape Stand ×1
Pouch ×1
User Manual ×1

The Baton 3 Pro comes in 3 finishes: Black, Desert Tan, and OD Green. All 3 colors are nice and I can say that I wouldn’t mind having any of those 3 colors. The body of the Baton 3 Pro is a compact flashlight that is only 3.99 inches long, with a small diameter of only 0.91 inches so it will fit nicely in your pocket. It is also very light so with the battery Included it will weigh only 3.63 oz (103 g). True EDC flashlight. Not with the wider and longer two-way clip, it will be more secure on your pocket, backpack, headband, or hardhat. A two-way clip is also made this time from thicker steel for greater durability and deformation resistance. This new two-way clip is a small improvement but an important one. You don’t want to lose the Baton 3 Pro and this new clip will help secure it in your pocket.

The Baton 3 Pro has the new built-in proximity SENSOR, that adds safety, by reducing the output when it detects anything close to the sensor (for example, your pocket, book, backpack, or something that you work on). If you accidentally turn the light on in your pocket when you are in higher modes (high, turbo, or strobe), the light will reduce output, and turn off after 60 seconds. The proximity sensor can be disabled by double-pressing the side switch within 5 seconds of auto-diming. The same type of sensor is built into the Olight Warrior Mini 2 and in Olight Marauder 2. In our experience, a proximity sensor is always a good thing to have. Saves the charge of your battery and your eyes in the dark will be grateful. Once you have it, you simply fall in love with how useful it is.

The Baton 3 Pro has a newly enlarged and concave side switch, making it easier to use while reducing the chance of accidental activation. This new switch is 56% larger and probably 100% easier to use if you have large hands and fingers. Like all Olight flashlights, the Baton 3 Pro is also charged by the provided MCC3 USB magnetic charging cable. Powered by provided 3200mAh 3.6V 18650 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery, the Baton 3 Pro is easily fully charged in only 3.5 hours. We love provided rechargeable lithium-ion battery and its large 3200mAh capacity. Another good accessory is the included L-shape stand, which can be stuck anywhere, making it easier for you to store the flashlight after use.

This is not so important while backpacking or camping but it is a great feature for your office, garage, or home. Made of magnetic stainless steel and backed by strong adhesive, the L-shape stand can be fixed anywhere, and then Baton 3 Pro butt will simply attach itself to it and keep Baton 3 Pro fixed there ready for the next use. If you are a little bit OCD like me then you will appreciate this L-shape stand knowing that your Baton 3 Pro will always wait for you in the same spot…..even when you are in a hurry with thousand other things on your mind.

We didn’t test Level 5 120 days output but we loved testing Level 1 output with 1,500 lumens. That is why we love this flashlight. Simply lights us the darkness with 7,900 candelas, 1,500 lumens with a beam up to 175 meters from a such small package. It is impressive. Other Levels are great if you working on something near so you need a light that is not that strong that will blind you. A strobe is always fun and useful as a signaling thing.

Conclusion: The Olight Baton 3 Pro is a great compact flashlight with powerful light output and a large capacity of 18650 battery. Sounds simple but that is ALL we need. It small flashlight with an indestructible body, powerful light, and great battery capacity.
