Smyrna, GA -(FirearmsGuide.com)- GLOCK and the GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation will host the GLOCK Annual Shoot XXVII and Gunny Challenge XVI September 18th – 20th at CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park, Alabama.

The GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) is a GLOCK exclusive, family-oriented, safe shooting competition for people of all skill levels that includes a division for every GLOCK pistol.  Among over 50 outdoor matches held each year is the GLOCK Annual Shoot to be held at CMP Talladega.

The GSSF Annual Shoot has been hosted at the CMP since 2017.  “We always look forward to hosting this annual event at their state-of-the-art facility,” says Scott Drobnick, GSSF Outdoor Supervisor. “The Civilian Marksmanship Program initiatives for firearm safety and education align with the GSSF initiatives to promote safe, active participation in shooting sports and together, this match delivers an ideal experience for new shooters and enthusiasts alike.”

This annual match is fun for the whole family and includes the Annual Gunny Challenge shooting competition, industry vendor booths, GLOCK factory armorers on site performing free GLOCK pistol inspections, a “try before you buy” demo shooting area, and the GLOCK Team Store.

Gear requirements for GSSF are minimal and include a GLOCK pistol, three (3) magazines, a box, bag or holster to transport the pistol safely at the range, and 100 rounds of ammunition. This makes it an ideal opportunity for shooters of all levels to join in the fun of sport shooting.  You must be a GSSF member to compete in the match, however, non-GSSF members can join the foundation and compete the same day by purchasing an annual membership for only $35.  This membership also includes an annual discount on the purchase of a GLOCK pistol and access to several GLOCK Training courses along with benefits provided by the Civilian Marksmanship Program through affiliation.

Youth must be at least 10 years of age or older to participate in the match and accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Registration at CMP will be in the Clubhouse from 8am to 3pm Friday and Saturday and until 2pm on Sunday.

The Annual Gunny Challenge Shooting competition will start on Saturday the 18th at 1pm and features Matchmeisters who will compete for the annual title.
